Brown counts the cash received from her refund check. The university
began disbursing refund checks Jan. 23, and the banks soon filled up
with students eager to cash in. |

General Improvement Fund Feb. 4 to help the University of Arkansas at
Monticello construct a new wing to the school's forest resources

“The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s French
program experienced over a 100 percent increase in enrollment two years
in a row. Twelve students enrolled in a French course in the spring of
2006; 29 enrolled the following spring, and 62 enrolled this spring.”
