Cash in Hand- Sophomore Melody Brown counts the cash received from her refund check. The university began disbursing refund checks Jan. 23, and the banks soon filled up with students eager to cash in.

Gov. Beebe Gives $2 Million for Forest Resources Complex


   "Gov. Mike Beebe released $2 million from the state's General Improvement Fund Feb. 4 to help the University of Arkansas at Monticello construct a new wing to the school's forest resources complex." (more)

French Program Sees Growth with New Professor

   “The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s French program experienced over a 100 percent increase in enrollment two years in a row. Twelve students enrolled in a French course in the spring of 2006; 29 enrolled the following spring, and 62 enrolled this spring.” (more)
