March 17
Out at the Administrative building to boost a vehicle. Vehicle had a bad battery.
A call requesting to turn off the lights in the choir room of the Visual and Performing Arts Center. He advised that the lights had been on since Friday night and needed to be turned off.
March 18

While driving down University Drive on my way to the Public Safety Office, noticed the roof access hatch open on the roof of Bankston Hall. Called maintenance and went to check it out. Hatch was open; secured the hatch.
A call of a disturbance at the University Apartments. Made contact with a male and female in the parking lot. Female said that they were arguing and everything was OK. The female was a student, the male was not. Advised if the argument began again, the non-student would have to leave the campus. No further problems reported.
Electricity went out all over campus. Called Entergy and advised. Made contact with the three people that are included on the call-out memo in case of a power failure on campus issued by the chief.
A call of an alarm sounding in the library. The alarm was sounding because of the power failure. Silenced and reset the alarm back to normal operation.
March 19
Out at Bankston and Horsfall halls with the AVA vendor to service vending machines.
Call from Monticello Police Department about alarm at Bookstore. Went to area and found the manager inside; everything OK.
Check all of the parking lots around the campus. Monitor traffic on campus, very light.
Go to Family Housing to talk with subject about harassing phone calls.
Received a from the resident assistant at Bankston Hall. Subject left his keys in his room.
Not much activity on campus. Monitor four-ways. Patrol campus and stay visible. All quiet at this time.
March 20
Out at Harris Hall to open Residence Life for student worker.
Call about minor accident at the John F. Gibson University Center north parking lot. Went to take accident report. Out at the Public Safety Office to type the accident report.
Out to let contractor into Bankston Hall to work in utility closet. Back on patrol.
Professor at Public Safety Office with vehicle trouble. Called C&L wrecker at owner's request to come and pick up car.
Check all of the parking lots around the campus. Monitor traffic on campus, very light. Monitor four-ways.
Go unlock vehicle at Jeter Hall.
Out to talk with Monticello P.D. units.
March 21
Contractors working around campus. Voice workers in Jeter Hall.
Arkansas Tech baseball team arrives. Warming up on the field. Christian Brothers softball team arrives.
Received a call from the coach, notifying me of a big sink hole in the baseball field and requested maintenance check it out. Called and reported the hole, and was told there was no one on campus to check it and fill it in with dirt until Monday morning. Went to check on the hole at the field and was notified it was only about 2 feet in diameter, but about 3-to-4 feet deep. The baseball team had already filled it in with dirt. The hole was in the area of one of the water sprinklers.
March 22
Let Bankston resident assistant, who arrived back to campus from Spring Break, into the dorm.
No traffic on campus. Beginning to rain.
Contractors working on new indoor practice facility.
Arkansas Tech baseball team arrives. Warming up on the field. Baseball game in progress.

March 23
A call from the Maxwell Hall resident assistant advising that water was coming from between the walls of two dorm rooms at Maxwell and also advised that there was no hot water. Called the on-call maintenance technician and advised. He said he would be on his way to the campus.
Traffic stop. Continue patrol.
Received a call from Residence Life director instructing me that the residence halls are not to be re-cored until 4 p.m. due to no staff being present.
Bankston Hall resident stopped me and asked to be let into the dorm. I told him that I couldn't let him in until 4 p.m. Stopped by a parent outside Horsfall Hall and was asked why their daughters dorm key didn't work. I informed them that the dorm cores would be changed at 4 p.m. in accordance with the Residence Life director's request. They were not happy, but decided to wait.
Removed the holiday cores from Horsfall, Royer and Bankston halls and re-installed the normal cores.
Several students returning to campus from Spring Break. No problems reported.
Monitoring traffic around campus. Traffic stop beside Agriculture building for failure to yield at a four-way. Issued a verbal warning.
March 24
Working all parking areas. Out to Willard Hall for accident.
Patrolling at the University Center.
Out at Horsfall Hall to remove a non-student.
Out at Jeter Hall to talk with students having a block party. All OK.
Check all of the parking lots around campus and monitor the four-ways. Make traffic stop.
Out to monitor crowd at Jeter Hall.
Run radar in different locations around campus. Make a couple of traffic stops.
March 25
Out at Bookstore to take theft-of-property report.
Monitor traffic on campus. Go boost off vehicle at the Fred J. Taylor Library.
Monitor four-ways. Make traffic stop.
Out at Jeter Hall with a group of students. Advised them to go inside the fraternity rooms.
Go unlock vehicle at Royer Hall.
Monitor four-ways and run radar in different locations on campus. Traffic very light.
March 26
Running radar. Five traffic stops for excessive speed. Two UAM citations issued. One municipal citation issued.
Located a motorcycle that we were requested to remove the license plate from. Removed the plate and informed the subject that he could no longer drive the motorcycle until he received his license, registration and insurance.
Requested by coach to chase the juveniles off the the dirt piles between the baseball and softball fields. Had the subjects leave the dirt piles and then stopped to speak with the parents.
Complaint of noise at Maxwell Hall. Out with a group of students and asked them to keep it down. No further problems reported.
A call of a non-aggressive stray dog around the University Apartments. Advised that my relief will advise Monticello Animal Control in the morning.
A tip from a caller advising that a subject that has been banned from campus was staying with a student on campus. Out at the office to gather information about the banned subject and room number.
Another officer in a minor parking lot accident. Faculty member backed into the parked patrol car.
Out at University Apartments to check the room where the subject is supposed to be staying. Found out that the banned subject did in fact stay the night in the room two nights ago. Unable to locate subject at this time.
A lot of students walking around the campus. Traffic is moderate.
March 27

Running radar. Three traffic stops for excessive speed. Two UAM citations issued.
Out at the University Center to assist in parking dignitaries.
Received a call from Monticello P.D. requesting assistance at Midway Route for a baby locked in a vehicle. Baby was OK.
Off campus briefly to deliver case file to the prosecutor's office
The parking lot lights between the Science Center and the Fine Arts Center were not working. Called maintenance and was advised that the electrical line had been cut by a contractor.
Out at the Fine Arts Center parking lot. Patrol vehicles and maintenance truck were parked with the headlights on to illuminate the parking lot area. Also used flashlights to escort people to their vehicles.
Call from a parent who thought that her son may have dropped a video game in front of Willard Hall; unable to locate the game.
Out with a group of people at Royer Hall. Advised them that visiting hours were over and there will be loitering around the dorm.
Boost at Maxwell Hall. Several people still moving around campus. Traffic is moderate.
While at the office for lunch, went outside on the porch to talk with a Monticello P.D. officer and observed two females exiting and leaving Bankston Hall. Got names and will write up both students for violations of the visitation rules.
