Food Services Offers Pizza for Missing Dishes

Over 1,100 cups and bowls are missing from the cafeteria, and Stephen Kerr, food service director, wants them back with no questions asked.
Kerr will throw a pizza party to the dorm that brings back the most dishes from Monday, April 21 through Friday, April 25, and the winner will be announced at lunchtime on the final day. There will be 50 pizzas and lemonade served at the party.
Students may not realize that taking dishes takes money away from a campus event or the quality of food being served. Just one case of cups cost $50.
“I just ordered 14 cases to replace the cups missing,” Kerr said. “I will gladly give anyone to-go cups, but don’t take cups here for everyone.”
People returning dishes only have to place the dishes in their coordinating dormitory box and no questions will be asked.
“Man, 1,100 cups, that’s why we have to wait for cups in the line,” first-year student Maurice Williams said. “I think people will bring it back (dishes), because there is no consequences and you get pizza if you win.”
