Comic Comes to UAM - Comedian Adam Ace performs during Greek Week. Ace interacted with the audience and assisted in the presenting of awards after his set.

Students at the University of Arkansas at Monticello gathered in the John F. Gibson University Center Green Room Thursday, April 16 to watch a comedy show.

As part of Greek Week, Adam Ace performed a comedy show that kept students laughing, just as he has on 300 different college campuses.

The Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities named him College Comedian of the Year.

“Adam was hilarious, and I could not stop laughing,” Megan Grassi said.

Ace held the audience’s attention by interacting with them and bringing students on stage. He made several jokes--some included things that happen to college students-- and he even started in on college mascots.

He also attempted to teach students to dance by pointing out several funny things about popular songs.

“I have to give it to Mindy Holcomb.  She did an awesome job of setting this up,” Mike Reynolds said.

Holcomb saw Ace perform at an APCA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, and decided to invite him to UAM.

After the show,  Mike Reynolds, with assistance from Adam Ace, announced the winners of the “Greek Week” awards.
