While the University of Arkansas at Monticello Bookstore offers book buybacks, another bookstore in Monticello also offers hope for students to get money back for books they no longer need.

Bellelise Bookstore, now located at 1361 Hwy 425 South, offers book buybacks to students with a valid UAM I.D.

“The store is located right beside the Crackerbox in front of the college. The name is Monticello Textbooks and Bellelise Booksellers is with it. We will be buying all books and we will have all the books for summer and fall. We will also buy and sell textbooks everyday,” Desiree Camacho Thornhill, owner of Bellelise Booksellers, said.

Book buyback for Bellelise Booksellers started April 29 and continues until Aug. 29. Store hours include Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. -  4 p.m.

“I sold my books back to them and received a good amount of money for them,” Stephanie Harton, an accounting major, said.

Thornhill said Bellelise Booksellers not only buy and sell textbooks, but also sell self-help books, cook books, religious and spiritual books, science fiction, autobiographies and children’s books, just to name a few.

“It is a wonderful place with great prices. I exchanged my books there last semester and got more back there,” sophomore Donna Norris said.

Also provided by Bellelise, story time for children starts June 5 and continues every Thursday during the summer.
