Mehmood met with 19 students and seven faculty members interested in learning more about photography.
Mehmood opened the meeting by thanking everyone for sharing his interest and asked those in attendance to introduce themselves. Some shared their personal experiences in photography and others expressed an even deeper passion for photography by bringing portfolios of their photos.
“I am overjoyed with the large turnout we had today, ” Mehmood said. He went on to say that it was a better showing than he had imagined.
The group discussed:
- meeting times
- obtaining a larger room to hold meetings
- drafting a constitution with by-laws
The Photography Club allows anyone to join the organization including students, faculty, staff and members of the surrounding communities.
At the next meeting, held in the Memorial Classroom Building auditorium Sept. 25 at 7 p.m., the group will elect officers and show a Power-Point presentation unveiling their new constitution.
