'Constellations'

Do you like ear-bleeding music? Flesh-ripping guitar shredding? Drum beats that will make your heart stop? Brain-pounding lyrics? Well ladies and gentlemen I present to you August Burns Red.

This metal-core band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has been shredding since 2003. After giving us the first two albums “Thrill Seeker” and “Messengers,” the group now provides us with a brand new album, “Constellations,” released July 14.

August Burns Red's members consist of Jake Luhrs on vocals, JB Brubaker on lead guitar, Brent Rambler on rhythm guitar, Dustin Davidson on bass and Matt Greiner on drums.

If Luhrs’ screaming the truth in your face does not hook you, maybe Brubaker’s shredding solos or Rambler's harmonic rhythm will. Still if not them, then Davidson and Greiner's heart stopping breakdowns will.

“Constellations” has many hardcore breakdowns; soft, harmonic melodies and skull crushing riffs.

For first-time hardcore listeners, I highly recommend starting with these guys. For an average listener who has not heard these guys, then I ask, “What’s wrong with you?”

I give “Constellations” two-thumbs-up, a five-star rating, 10-out of-10, or however you want to put it to say “Get this album!”
