Women across the globe suffer from "what jeans fit me best" syndrome, often settling for anything. Shopping according to your body type will minimize stress and the dent in your purse.

With the production of several cuts and styles, shopping can become frustrating. Not every jean will work for every body type.

Web sites like zafu.com offer their expertise for a mere $19.95.  It's a matter of knowing and understanding your figure.

The first step involves embracing your body. If you wear a size 0, embrace the zero. The same goes for larger sizes. Your perfect pair of denim may be in a size 16. Embrace it.

The examiner.com offers the following advice on finding the perfect pair of jeans.

Curvy - Curvy gals can reach for boot-cut jeans or wide leg jeans. Whatever you choose, you want something with stretch. A boot-cut or a wide leg silhouette, balances the weight you carry up top. And yes, a curvy woman can wear skinny jeans, just make sure to rock heels to create a long, lean line. If you are going with flats, choose a "flowy" blouse to avoid looking heavy at the hips and behind.

Pear shape - Wide leg jeans work well with a pear shape because they balance the volume at the thighs and hips and are usually cut higher. This creates a continuous line, thus making you look leaner. Trouser jeans in dark washes are often sans back pockets (or boast only slit pockets), which is also flattering. Choose a dark shade and wear bold colors or a statement necklace up top to bring the eye upwards.

Boy shape - Those with a boyish figure should work with skinny jeans and boot-cut jeans. Wear blouses that softly skim just below the waist to camouflage the lack of shape. You can also cinch sweaters, blouses and cardigans at the waist to add a feminine silhouette.

Although this offers information, the customer is always right, choose jeans you feel comfortable with and ultimately feel great in.
