MONTICELLO - The Student Activities Board discussed prizes for the Late Night Breakfast during a meeting April 27.
The Late Night Breakfast will be held May 3 starting at 9 p.m. The event gives students the opportunity to take a break from studying finals and relax. The event is free to all currently enrolled students with their UAM identification card.
SAB Chairperson Yvonne Hinshaw and SAB members discussed types of prizes to be given away. They discussed MP3 players, laptop computers, jewelry, gaming systems, computer software and finals survival kits with testing supplies and other items, but did not finalize what the prizes would be. They have $2,500 to spend on prizes.
“I want to give some smaller items so we can spread the wealth a little bit more where people can have a chance to win,” Hinshaw said.
Hinshaw asked members to help at the event as well. The SAB planned on having a free movie night May 4 at the Malco Cinema 6/Hollywood Cinema in Monticello. SAB had 300 tickets available.
Correction: The SAB will be using the passes for next semesters free movie night and some of the passes were given away at the Late Night Breakfast.
