Board of Visitors Announce Current Enrollment and Building Plans

   "The Board of Visitors met in the Spencer Gallery of the Fine Arts Center Oct.8 to discuss the current enrollment of the University of Arkansas at Monticello colleges and future building plans."

Editor's Note: An error appeared in the article about the Board of Visitors meeting. The original article stated Provost R. David Ray said James Woolly would be the new chair for the division of Music. James Woolly will replace Annette Hall until Ray hires a new chair. The article has been updated to reflect these corrections.

UAM Art Club to Hold 'Faces' Exhibit

   "The University of Arkansas-Monticello Art Club will open its “Faces” exhibit the week of Oct. 13 in Jeter Hall Room 101.

   According to club member Belinda Jeffers, who will display her own art in the exhibit, any UAM student may submit work with his or her interpretation of the theme “Faces."

Luke Bryan Does It Again with Sophomore Album

   "Singer-songwriter and country artist Luke Bryan, known for his party songs “All My Friends Say” and “Country Man” takes a different approach to his sophomore album “Doin’ My Thing,” released Oct. 6 by Capitol Nashville.

   While Bryan continues to party on songs, the album contains songs with deeper meaning than drinking and bonfires."

Weevils Beat West Georgia 34-3


   "The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team racked up a season high 552 yards of total offense in a 34-3 win over West Georgia Thursday evening in the Gulf South Conference TV Live Game of the Week.

   All 34 points for the Weevils came in the first half, 22 of them coming in the second quarter. The Wolves scored their only points off a field goal with 5:02 left in the first quarter."

Buisson Takes Over as UAM's Total Offense King


   "University of Arkansas at Monticello junior quarterback Scott Buisson is the school's new all-time leader with 8,629 yards of total offense with more than a season remaining in his career."
