| All I Ever Wanted - Kelly Clarkson gives a powerful performance at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. Clarkson's 2009 "All I Ever Wanted Tour" stopped in Missouri Halloween night. |
Pop-rock diva Kelly Clarkson rolled her 2009 “All I Ever Wanted Tour” into St. Charles, Mo., Halloween night.
Clarkson, backed by a full band, flashing lights and a DJ named Wicked Ricky mixing everything together, brought the house down. The intimate crowd jumped and sang along with her nearly two-hour set.
She kicked things off with the title track of her current album “All I Ever Wanted,” and made it known from the beginning, her voice would be the star of the show. She hit notes many artists could only dream of hitting.
She worked her way through several other cuts from the album and added in hits from her previous albums, such as “Never Again,” “Breakaway,” “Miss Independent,” “Walk Away,” “Because of You” and of course “Since U Been Gone.”
But along with her catalog, she threw a few curveballs, which she knocked out of the park.
Clarkson mashed together Alanis Morrisette’s “That I Would Be Good” with the Kings of Leon smash “Use Somebody,” creating what could be called a masterpiece.

| Halloween - Kelly Clarkson dressed as "Family Guy" during her encore. The entire band dressed in costumes. |
Her other covers included a chilling, but sexy version of The Black Keys song “Lies” and a jazzed-up version of the Patsy Cline anthem “Walkin’ After Midnight.”
Clarkson showed off her range throughout the night, but put it front –and-center when she performed fan-favorite “Sober” and her current single “Already Gone.”
In the middle of “Already Gone,” the song written with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder that he and Beyonce created the similar track “Halo” from, she mixed in a portion of “Halo” making both Tedder and Beyonce look like amateurs.
For the encore, Clarkson’s band appeared - all in costumes including Supergirl, a banana, a chicken, Darth Vader and more - dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
Clarkson then appeared as “Family Guy,” large foam head and all, to join the dance.
Wicked Ricky switched the music over to rap/dance track “Peanut Butter and Jelly” and the group let loose dancing around the stage as Clarkson rapped along.
She then launched into a cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” almost setting the room ablaze with her voice … only fitting as the words “Burn a hole,” soared from her.
Clarkson closed the night with her hit “My Life Would Suck (Without You),” complete with jumping and turning the floor into a costume-filled mosh pit.
Before exiting the stage, she thanked everyone for coming to the show and wish the crowd a “Happy Halloween.”
