Falling in love didn’t fall under Nora Grey’s to-do list.
The boys at Nora’s school, she never really paid attention to. Even though her bestie, Vee, loved boys and pushed them at her a lot. But, everyone has that one person that gets under their skin. That makes them melt at their sight, right?
Patch shows in her life as her new lab partner and she stumbles over trouble to get past his easy smile and dark rugged bad boy image. She tried to pull away from her attraction to him but only if it were that easy.
Becca Fitzpatrick delivers a book "Hush Hush" that took me one day to read, not because of the book’s length but because I did not put it down, not even to eat. Patch’s dark and sexy mischievous ways seem to lead you to think he’s a bad boy. Oh, but how right you are.
Elliot, the new kid, takes Nora and Vee out along with his friend Jules. But, who shows up? You got it, Patch. He reigns Nora into letting him take her home, inviting himself in and fixing her diner. Seems harmless enough.
As the book turns, Nora finds out some news about Elliot that she cannot stop thinking about. Not only does he start to creep her out, he was investigated for the murder of his ex-girlfriend.
As bad things turn to worse, Patch and Nora get trapped alone together in a hotel room, only her secret fantasy of him does not fall on the agenda. Patch reveals two scars on his back in the shape of an upside down v.
Nora finds herself beyond puzzled. But, Patch fills her into a little secret. Patch fools Nora into thinking he is an angel. Well, she wasn’t too far off…. he is a fallen one.
Nora panics after she finds out his intentions but there is no escaping his steady grip. But, turns out Patch is not the only person after Nora’s life. She seems to make the top on a few other’s list as well.
Admitting to myself, I was utterly devastated when Patch revealed himself as bad, but my hopes were brought back up when I realize he loves her.
Fitzpatrick does a wonderful job with the chemistry of the two characters. Not only does Nora secretly love Patch too, the book leads into a even darker past of Patch’s, which Nora has trouble believing.
This book will leave you wanting so much more. This New York Time Best Seller "Hush Hush," tops any fiction book I’ve read in a long time.
Not just that the context expands your knowledge on fictional imagery, but it takes you to a world you could only wish you were a part of.
Every girl wants an angel in her life, right? The ending of this book will pull you in so much you can’t understand why it is not real. She finds herself in a life-or-death situation that leads her over the edge, literally. Fitzpatrick leaves me breathless and ready for the second book, which is available “Crescendo.”
There's no way anyone could keep this book Hush Hush.
