"I love you. Have a great day! Make good choices,” I would call out from the car every morning when I dropped my son off. Every morning, same drill. Same comment as he got out of the car.
I said it every morning for seven years. Seven years until my son, who had long before started rolling his eyes when we went through our morning ritual, finally asked me a question."

"The recently renewed Republic Committee, dormant for several years, held a political event Oct. 2 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building in Monticello. Attendees had a barbeque dinner and the chance to hear Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Keet who is running against D-Gov. Mike Beebe in the Nov. 2 election. The Drew County Republican Committee is actually composed of members from Drew, Lincoln, Desha, Ashley, and Bradley counties. The State Republican headquarters helped reorganize the committee in southeast Arkansas. In the past three months, membership has grown from eight-to-ten members to currently boasting 20 plus members. The group has also filled a hierarchy of positions among the committee. They have brought five of the six Republicans running for office to this area to speak, some more than once."

While various blogs on the Internet speculated Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush abandoned the country sound they were known for, the speculation couldn't be more wrong. Though the songs on the album do incorporate new elements, the country remains present. It's just blended with urban, reggae and rock influences."
